Responsibilities

Summary

The Front End Supervisor oversees and supervises the obtainment of patient and order information. Enters information into the order entry system.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Manages the complete entry of physician information into the system.
  • Oversees the entry of new medication orders and refills.
  • Supervises the sorting of orders obtained from fax machines.
  • Coordinates and manages the preparation of invoices, shipping documents.
  • Receives and responds to escalated customer complaints and/or issues.
  • Reviews and verifies customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
  • Directs specified departments to prepare and ship orders to designated locations.
  • Checks inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
  • Supervises the review of orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forwards incomplete orders for further processing.
  • Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records.
  • Minimal travel including overnight stay as necessary.
  • Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.
  • Supports facilities, departmental goals and the overall objectives of the Company.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
  • Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.
  • Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred

 

Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ order entry, sales, or service center experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
