Responsibilities

Performs functions related to accounts receivable, billing, collections and revenue support to meet company goals. Analyzes accounts receivable aging and individual accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Researches accounts for billing accuracy adjusting discrepancies as needed.
  2. Prepares and reviews paperwork for attorney, write-off, and/or cut off processes.
  3. Initiate collections calls. Calls on accounts with high balances. Calls regarding old accounts.
  4. Works with billers to review accounts.
  5. Serves as a back-up to cash application.
  6. Works with Business Office Managers and/or Executive Directors of each facility or customer to help resolve past due balances.
  7. Checks for Medicaid eligibility.
  8. Analyzes accounts receivable aging and individual accounts
  9. Assists with special projects as needed.
  10. Minimal travel including overnight stay as necessary. 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in accounting or business or related field preferred. 

Certifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician National Certification preferred. 

Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ billing and/or collections experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year multi-facility experience preferred.
  • QS1 and Docutrack experience preferred.
  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
