The Pharmacy Scheduler provides training and support for the scheduling functions of a pharmacy. Assists the pharmacy operations team leaders to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the pharmacy schedules, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the pharmacy.

• Creates the pharmacies’ four (4) week schedule for all non-exempt team members located in each pharmacy location and posts schedule in accordance with the Scheduling Standards policy.
• Generates all required postings such as daily assignment sheets and monthly schedules.
• Manages hours for each department based on budget expectations and pharmacy leader requests.
• Monitors overtime closely with the goal of decreasing/eliminating overtime.
• Manages Time and Attendance, including Attendance points, buy-backs, shift pick-ups (SPUs) for cash, and SPUs for STARS.
• Supports pharmacy leaders in the monitoring and updating of missing time clock punches and extended breaks to ensure timely payroll approvals and team member education.
• Utilizes Smartlinx’s functionality, including posting open shifts, filling open shifts, PTO approval/denial and employee messaging.
• Manages, supports, and coordinates employees' PTO requests, holiday rotations, and shift trades.
• Attends daily and weekly Stand Up meetings to discuss scheduling needs and absences.
• Makes staffing adjustments as needed according to budgetary constraints, PTO, calls-offs, and pre-planned leaves of absence.
• Anticipates staffing needs and takes rapid action to partner with Employee Services with the goal of minimizing open positions.
• Meets each new employee to review their schedule, ask what needs they have and ensures a smooth onboarding experience.
• Assists employees in onboarding with SmartLinx Go and discusses schedules and policies related to scheduling.
• Ensures pharmacy has appropriate pharmacists scheduled in the on-call rotation, where applicable.
• Assists with tracking required certification and licensure for pharmacy team members.
• Provides assistance to the Operations Support team by auditing phone calls and RedeApp customer communications to help ensure a positive customer service experience for residents, family members, and facility partners.
• Assists with functions related to Employee Services and EXM responsibilities as needed.

• Travel:  Yes: Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)

Qualifications

• Education: High School / GED
• 1-3 years of experience
